The Glass Castle

On pg. 129 her mother says to Jeannette, "Life is a drama full of tragedy and comedy. You should learn to enjoy the comic episodes a little more." does Jeannette feel that there is anything to laugh at in her life?

Jeannette is traveling across the country, moving again, in an old "clunker" of a car. The car is literally falling apart. It wouldn't move more than twenty miles per hour, had a plastic garbage bag taped over one of the windows, and a hood that popped up of its own volition. The children (family) were sleeping in the car at night, and also found themselves the butt of laughter and curiosity. At the time, Jeannette wasn't finding much to laugh at.
