In what ways are the parents more like children, and the children more like parents?

In what ways do the children act like adults?

"It was hard for me to believe that this woman with her head under the blankets, feeling sorry for herself and boohooing like a five-year old, was my mother.”

The children cook when they have food, take care of each other, and take care of their parents. When they are without food, the children cover for their parents..... they do the same when they miss school. They cover for both parents, and yet, their parents continue to let them down..... over and over again. The children also try to tie themselves to the home of others.... they yearn for a HOME and for parents who act like parents.
