There is no ceremony for five or six; at seven they receive clothing with front buttons; at eight years of age they receive jackets with pockets (buttons are smaller); at nine they receive a bike, whereas, at ten they get a haircut.

These ceremonies are promotions (celebrations) for everyone turning a particular age. With age comes new and different responsibilities (expectations) and gifts are given accordingly.
