What thoughts or unanswered questions about what took place at the House of Usher still linger in your mind?

I always took this story for what it is, one of Poe's gothic adventures. I suppose I wonder why Madeline turned into a zombie like thing. I love the vivid imagery in this story, it's one of the best campfire stories around!
