She loves her father a nd is closest to him. She thinks Mrs. VanDaan is too concerned with herself and has no thought for anyone else. She believes Margot is the favorite of her mother, who is very hard on Anne. They fight a great deal. She thinks Mr. VanDaan is incredibly opinionated and causes a great deal of friction throughout the secret annexe.
