The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

MORE QUESTIONS!! (ANNE FRANK BOOK)

(Friday, November 20, 1942) Anne writes, "Should I stop myself quickly and feel ashamed that I am cheerful?" Do you think it is shameful of Anne to be laughing and having fun with everything going on in the "outside world?"

Anne is a human being and people need to find the best, even in a less than ideal situation. Anne is lucky to be in hiding rather than a death camp. Anne has every right to smile whenever she wants to. Being miserable changes nothing about the situation.
