Ann finds problems with both of them. She thinks that Mrs. Van Daan is vain and lacking in humility. Anne finds her to be the most insufferable annex resident of them all and is particulary annoyed when Mrs. Van Daan flirts with Mr. Frank. Anne thinks her mother is different. She feels her mother is unfairly harsh to her and judgmental.
