From what Anne revealed in her diary, do you think the Dutch people were helpful enough to their Jewish population

This question calls for your opinion, there is no right or wrong answer. In my opinion, as someone who is looking back at a horrific time and situation, I'd like to say that more should have been done. Unfortunately, I wasn't there, and although, I'd like to believe that I would have stepped up and been one of those people.... we will never know for sure. People were frightened, often terrified to help because of the repurcussions that would have come down upon their own families. I cannot say that I would have jeopardized the lives of my own family, but I'd like to believe I would have done the right thing.... that I would have made a difference. What about you?
