The setting of the story is WWII Amersterdam. The underlying theme is of course the treatment and anihilation of the Jews. This novel is a non-fiction narrative; I'm not sure what you mean about how it contributes? This was a real place, a real war, and a real teenage girl. Anne's story represents millions of teenage Jewish girls and their families during Hitler's regime.

I'm Saying like how does it relate To The meaning of The book
