There is excitement for Christmas. People in the annexe get extra butter rations for Christmas and everybody is wondering what they will bake with it. Anne decides to make cookies and two cakes. On Christmas day, the family do recieve gifts:
Anne- a Kewpie doll
Father- bookends
Mr.Van Daan- an ashatray
Mr.Dussel- a picture frame
