The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

What do you think of the language used in this book by the writer?

I am curious to know what people think about this because I find the language straight forward and simple,

The protagonist of the novel, Christopher, has Asperger’s Syndrome. Yes his writing is simple because that is what we might expect. Still there is a dry wit about him that borders on sarcasm,

I have a strong urge to point out to

them that I have not yet been diagnosed with paranoid

schizophrenia. But I usually play it safe, smile,

and say “Thank you!”

So there is more to Christopher's language to that of a simple savant. He is able to endear himself to us through stating the obvious which many of us chose to ignore.
