What is the soul of the world in which we live in?

Simply speaking, the "Soul of the World" means that everything is connected. Santiago believes that everybody and everything is inexplicably linked. He thinks that all people and all things were written by the same hand for a common purpose. Most people just fail to see the bigger picture only concentrating on their own little lives.
