Speculate why Huck gives all his money to Judge Thatcher

I think that Huck knows that his Pap is after his money. With Judge Thatcher, it would be harder for his no good drunken Pap to steal it. I also think that Huck does not value money as others do. Instead of worrying about it, Huck would rather go exploring.
