The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Like any other person, Junior has certain expectations about how the people he meets will be/treat him. (For example, he expects Roger, a football player, to be self-centered jerk.) In what ways do people meet/not meet his expectations?

I think that Junior's move outside of the reservation is completely new. Junior realizes that life is not so clear-cut. He, for example, has expectations of racism against him but he did not realize that he would be friends with someone who called him racial slurs. Rowdy is racist towards Junior, yet he forms a close relationship with him. Junior also never expected to be close to a blonde and pretty white girl. Junior eventually wins over Penelope despite her racist father. Your last question really depends on your opinion instead of mine.
