Chapter 23 - Assess - Page 527: 10

Answer

a.

Work Step by Step

Binocular vision gives primates the ability to see in depth to be able to judge distances between trees. A larger, more complex brain allows primates to process information for better coordination of the limbs and for better processing of visual input. Primates have only one offspring at a time because they can only carry one offspring at a time when moving between trees. Language is not a characteristic specific to primates; it is only found in humans.
