Sphincter pupillae muscle is supplied by parasympathetic nervous system whereas dilator pupillae muscle is supplied by sympathetic nervous system.
If sympathetic nervous system is activated it will result in contraction of the dilator pupillae muscle that will ultimately lead to the dilation of pupil.
