Voluntary motor impulses (c)

Work Step by Step

Voluntary motor impulses are transmitted by somatic motor neurons whose cell bodies lie in the ventral horns. Integrating impulses are transmitted by interneurons which predominantly lie in the dorsal horns. Sensory impulses are transmitted by sensory neurons which enter white matter as they enter the spinal cord or synapse with interneurons in the dorsal horns.
