Chapter 9 - Cumulative Review - Page 696: 35

Answer

$A: (-4,2)$ $B: (1,2)$ $C: (0,1)$ $D: (-3,0)$ $E: (5,-4)$

Work Step by Step

Coordinates are written as $(x,y)$. So to find each ordered pair on the graph, first go along the x-axis until you are above/below/or on the point you are writing the coordinate for. That is the x-value. From there (the x-value) go up or down the y-axis until you are on the point that you are writing the coordinate for. Look to the left or right of where your finger is and on the y-axis the y-value line you are at is the y-value. Note that some values, x or y, will be 0, meaning that the point is ON the x or y axis.
