why did toni morrison choose the the title "song of solomon?"

I do not know why the Nobel-prize author choosed the "Song of Solomon." As to the true author of the book, King Solomon not only credits himself, but the Lord Jesus Christ as well. 1 Kings 4:29-30; 5:12; 10:23-24; 11:41. 1 Kings 10:24 tells us that "all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom WHICH GOD HATH PUT IN HIS HEART." 1 Kings 4:32 tells us that Solomon, by the gift of God's grace, wrote 3,000 proverbs and 1,005 songs. The Song of Solomon is his "...song of songs..." Solomon 1:1. It is "the song." It uses the courting between the King Solomon and the Shulimite bride/wife to describe the love found at the "mercy seat," the cross of Jesus Christ; and the great desire needed by both God and the bride to draw near to Him, Solomon 1:4 (see "Draw ME...").
