Summary of Hot and Cold blood by F Scott Fitzgerald

Hot and Cold Blood tells the story of a man and his wife, Jim and Jaqueline Mathers. Jaqueline is pregnant, and the couple saves all of their money for the birth of their child. Jim, however, is a generous man, who is always supportive of those in need.... he cares for others, friends and strnagers alike, and he lends money without a second thought. Jaqueline chastizes Jim for his generosity and tells him that he needs to put family first, something that leads Jim to turn away from those in need..... something that tortures him on the inside. In the end, Jim does as his wife asks, never realizing that his wife will be one of those in need.
