Lucy Steele is somewhat smarter than her sister, Lucy is still silly, unpolished, and judged by the Dashwood girls to be unremarkably average company. She also proves to be opportunistic, wrangling her way into the Ferrars family despite being poor and not well connected.Elinor is practical and intelligent. Elinor thinks Lucy decent company, though she lacks education and refinement.

Elinor completely dislikes Lucy, but decides that's she'll remain close after Lucy reveals her secret engagement to Edward. None-the-less........ Lucy wreaks havoc on everyone's lives and hurts many people.

Yes Elinore does find Lucy insincere!
