Daniel'a yard has a perimeter of 20.5 ft. The length is 5.25 ft. What is the width of his yard?

hey man

So seeming as the perimeter is length multiplied by the width, then all we have to do is divide the perimeter by the length, which you have, and kaboom you have your answer.

So putting this into the equation:

20.5 = Width x 5.25

Therefore 20.5 / 5.25 = Width

Which comes to an answer of 3.9 feet.

if you subtract 20.5 by 5.25x2 you will get 10...next divide the 10 by 2 and you have your answer...5...
