Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood

what does the religion in school suggest about control?

The graphic memoir starts with the girls having to wear veils not knowing why. Then we just keep seeing how the Shah controls the education system to the extent of shutting schools down.

Religion is simply a way to control children at a young age. Religion then becomes a political force to shape future generations to a particular ideology.
