Desdemona has no idea why Othello is so angry. When he finally calls her a “whore” how does she react? What does her reaction tell you about Desdemona’s character?

Desdemona has no idea why she is being treated so unjustly. She is sad that Othello thinks this of her. Desdemona, however, never really becomes aggressive towards Othello. Desdemona is submissive which ironically is one of the qualities he claimed he loved her for!
