One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

What similarities are there between life in hospital and life in the normal society?

From chapter 4-6 or the whole book. :)

There aren't many similarities to "normal" life in the hospital. Life is very regimented. The days are planned and there is no freedom to deviate, especially when the day is enforced by nurse Ratched. Real life, of course, does have organization. We go to school, we go to work...... dinner is at five. None-the-less, days and nights in the hospital are fully regimented, whereas, we have many hours to plan according to our own desires.

Thank you very much! :)
