What are the orderlies like? How do they treat men on the ward?

Ratched's orderlies are hand-picked, sadistic, young black men. The orderlies obey Ratched without question, observing, brutalizing, demeaning and punishing the men as directed. Note, the orderlies obey Ratched because they're afraid of her and because of the hatred in their hearts.
