Why do you think Lennie wants George to tell him a story that he already knows by heart?

Lennie wants George to repeat the dream of the farm over and over again. Lennies is dream is for the two of them to have their own farm, off by themselves, where they'll also have rabbits. The story makes both men happy and gives them something to believe in.
