Curley's wife wanted to be a movie star. She believed that her marriage to Curley and her mother's interference destroyed her dream. Note.... her mother was "not" to blame.

Curley's wife was discriminated due to her race. The ranchers see her as a dangerous prostitide, who always flirt with men, making them fall into traps of imprisonment. Therefore, they keep a distance from her while insulting her behind her back. Moreover, she is not allowed to work on the ranch beacuse she is viewed as weak, incompetence and inferior to men. Gender discrimination UNDERMINES Curley's wife and women's ability to achieve their dreams.
