On page 41, Wiesel says the simple yet powerful phrase " those were the first human words". What words is he referring to, and what does he mean by the first human words?

This is at the camp. Everything they have heard and seen are threats and violence. The Pole in charge of the bunkhouse actually uses more compassionate language, more human, "Have faith in life..."
