Explain your views of Wiesel's quote from his Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech in which he was awarded for writing Night:

“To remain silent and indifferent is the greatest sin of all.”

One of the greatest sins of the holocaust was the silence of both the majority of the German people but the rest of the world. America and Britain were not fighting Jews because Jews were being killed. Anti-Semitism was still evident in many places like America and Britain: it is the silence of the masses that enables evil to exist.
