1. When the French woman comforts Eliezer earlier in the story, she says, “Keep your anger, your hate, for another day, for later. The day will come but not now…Wait. Clench your teeth and wait…” How has Eliezer done this with his life?

Elizer does this simply by surviving. It takes every ounce of strength and pent up anger to withstand the indignities and torture of the camps. Part of this anger certainly flows to his faith, but his internal hatred keeps him alive another day.
