what do these myths show us of the nature of the relationship between the gods and man

Prometheus, through his creation of man and his later giving man the fire stolen from the gods, acts somewhat differently from the other Olympians. He did side with the Olympians in the war against Cronus and the other Titans, but in general Prometheus was more interested in helping the humans than the other gods.
