What are the first impressions you get of portia

I'm looking for first impressions of her from the start of the play!

My first impressions of Portia are that she is witty and clever. She knows the world she has been born into. When we first meet Portia she is lamenting the lack of goodness in the world. She sees how difficult it is for people to be good.

I can easier teach twenty what were good to be done than be one of the twenty to follow mine own teaching. The brain may devise laws for the blood, but a hot temper leaps o'er a cold decree.
