Simon really doesn't say too much about adult authority. When he does talk, he is usually trying to convey some sort of wisdom or speak up for a weaker boy. Piggy craves the authority of the adult world. Guys like Piggy don't last long in chaotic survival of the fittest environments.

PIggy frequently says things like "what would adults think?" and points out that the boys are "acting like a crowd of kids." Piggy really misses the safety of adult authority.
