What is Ralph, Piggy, and samneric's reaction to Simon's death? Why do each boys reacted the way they did?

Ralph admits to participating in a murder. Piggy make excuses for the murder, and even goes so far as to say it was an accident. Sam and Eric deny being there.... they can't even look the othher boys in the eye.
