This is a pretty big question for this short space. By chapter 9, one group consists of the twins, Piggy, Simon, and Ralph. The rest of the bys make up the other group. Jack leads most of the boys. They value hunting, "fun", power of one boy (Jack), lack of individual responsibility, and violence. Ralph's small group values democracy, individual and collective responsibility, and order.
