Comic relief for most of the boys is usually at the expense of vulnerable characters like Piggy. Unfortunately, this is really not funny. I think the twins offer a little comic relief mixing each other up. The discourse after the fight, when Piggy's glasses are stolen, is a little amusing.

“That was Jack and his hunters,” said Ralph bitterly. “Why can’t they leave us alone?”

“We gave them something to think about,” said Sam. Honesty compelled him to go on. “At least you did. I got mixed up with myself in a corner.”
