What is the significance of the passage on pages 115-116. It starts with, "My grandmother had a very interesting theory; she said that each of us is born with a pack of matches inside us but we can't strike them all by ourselves..." (the entire passage)

In essence, this quote refers to the fact that we're all born with the propensity for anger.... a temperament, but it takes someone else to incite that anger.
