In Keats's poem, autumn is fluid. Fruits ripen and must be picked, threshers work on the granary floor, fields must be harvested...Then there is the natural world in fluid motion as well. There is music, an epitaph to summer or a prelude to winter. Blake mentions all kinds of natural sounds that bring us images of swallows, lambs, and crickets.
