Husband's Monologue....What feelings do you think Brently Mallard will have about his wife's sudden death?

I believe that Mr. Mallard was shocked and horrified at his wife's death and probably blamed himself for appearing without warning. His monologue would be short and clipped, words of grief and a sense of guilt.

"What have I done? We should have warned her!"

Why didn't I think about what could have happened?
