Kate Chopin's Short Stories

Consider the description of the plantation house and the descriptions of Desiree.

What do you think Chopin wants the reader to understand about the differences?

Hurry up it's due at 11:59 lol, I think your in the same class as me either way,

The plantation is rough with broken roads and Desiree is delicate and tender so Chopin wanted to show us that Desiree really shouldn't belong near the plantation and she is the opposite of the plantation.

Don't put exactly that just try to elaborate, i'm just trying to give you an idea.
