Carine and Chris were often pushed aside during childhood because of their parent's workloads. The fact that their mother and father worked on consulting together caused a lot of friction in the household, but the family did take numerous vacations. As a result, Carine and Chris grew very close and depended upon one another. I don't think this is surprising under the conditions.
