Saul has faced so much racism in hockey. He has been spit on, verbally assaulted, and humiliated even though he was the best player on the ice. I think that Lanahan is trying to make a distinction between racist culture and the game itself. I think he has a point but unfortunately the people are part of the game. If the people are flawed, the game is flawed.
