Why does Josiah Bounderby abandon his mother forcing her to stand outside his factory just to catch a glimpse of him?

Josiah Bounderby actually pays his poor old mother to stay away from him. He's quite the swine. He wants people to believe he was an orphan and not from a loving family who provided for his start. This way he can tell people that he is self-made and berate his workers when they complain about the conditions in his factory.

Mr. Bounder by

the meaning of his name reveals many things ,he is narraw minded man , see only want to see .

He pretends as self made man and his mother throw him in the street .and his grandmother buy his shoes to drink and he lives in gutter . All people in coke town know he is a banker and rich man

He do not leave his mother but pay 30 pounds every year

But the problem is that because of his pretends he can not break that and be lair .his mother makes this as secret but she is a mother and follow her heart so she goes every year one time to see his son

but in the end , all things reveal and all people know Bounder by is Lair man
