Hamlet

“To be, or not to be” is Hamlet's (and Shakespeare's for that matter) most famous soliloquy. Why do you think it has become the best known passage from Shakespeare?

Hamlet' s torment and Shakespeare's words gift his audinece with one of the most emotional speeches he ever penned. Shakespeare was comepletely successful at making the audience care about Hamlet's character. We empathize with his torment, and we hope against all odds that he will not choose suicide............ none-the-less, we do understand his dilemma.
