Laputa and the land of the Houyhnhnms were separate places. Gulliver really got the most out of and of the Houyhnhnms. He found these horses to be an enlightened species that had few of the litanies of bad traits that humans do. He did not think much of the laputians. The people in Laputa never have peace of mind. They are constantly worrying about dangers such as the possibility that the sun might go out.
