Why does Jaggers refer to Wemmick as the “most cunning impostor in all of London” (p. 415)?

Jaggers is surprised when Wemmick shows a kind compassionate side to Pip. Jaggers causes Wemmick of leading a sort of cunning double life. WEmmick can be very calculating and aggressive but also has a soft side he keeps hidden.
