Pip is set on getting Estella to acknowledge that Drummle has nothing to attract her but money..... he's appealing to her emotions, but he still can't understand she doesn't have any. Estella wasn't raised to judge the opposite sex, she was raised to ruin them. Pip is wretched because he wants her and believes that money is her only attraction. After all this time, he still can't see that she isn't attracted to anyone or anything..... his lack of perception becomes almost pathetic.
