Frankenstein

Frankenstein abandons the creature almost immediately after it comes to life because of it's ugliness, feeling no responsibility to it. What motif does this relate to?

The motif is abortion or a given life that is cast aside.

Victor: “When I thought of him, I gnashed my teeth, my eyes became inflamed, and I ardently wished to extinguish that life which I had so thoughtlessly made.”

Monster- “I, the miserable and the abandoned, am an abortion, to be spurned at, and kicked, and trampled on.”
