Fahrenheit 451

Montag comes to learn that firemen are rarely necessary because the public itself stopped reading of its own accord. Bradbury wrote this novel in 1963 to what extent has his prophecy come true?

Maybe it's the way this question is worded but I have no idea how to answer this please help!

Look around you, new technology is everywhere and reading has become obsolete. There are still people who read for enjoyment, but today's generation prefers their I-Pods, game systems, and smart phones for entertainment. Many people opt for CD's or use apps of their computers to have text read to them, so they don't have to bother themselves.... I'd say the Bradbury has been pretty accurate in his predictions..... television, reality shows (where characters become family) are all the rage..... what do you think?
